Two Chinese Department Students Win Four Writing Awards

Two students on the Creative Writing course, taught by Prof. Hing-fong LAI, won four prizes in a writing Contest organized by SHK, beating more than 6,000 other contestants.

Ms. FONG Wai-man of the Chinese Department won the 1st Prize in the open writing contest entitled ‘Passion: Home Letter’. Her article also won a special prize because of its unique content. Ms. FONG is very grateful for Prof. LAI’s support and wishes to become a professional writer.

Mr. YIP Ka Wai, also a student of the Chinese Department, won a Merit Prize in the contest named ‘Passionate Home Letter’ , as well as 1st Prize for the popularity of his article on the website. Mr. YIP feels very happy to win the prize and thanks Prof. LAI’s support and teaching.
